About Us

Rene Walrus was established in 2004 by Janet McCrorie. She had the idea for the boutique while studying fine art at Edinburgh College of Art. After completing her degree she began designing and producing accessories for family and friends and then for independent boutiques. After three years Janet decided it was time to set up her own outlet in Edinburgh and Rene Walrus was born.

All our pieces are hand-made by Rene Walrus in Edinburgh using a combination of Swarovski crystal, fresh-water pearls, semi-precious stones, sterling silver and gold vermeil.
