Hi,

I’m Janet, the creative director and founder of Rene Walrus. I’m a bit of a magpie and I love anything that sparkles.

I set up Rene Walrus in 2004 after having graduated from Edinburgh College of Art. Throughout college I sold various designs, at first to family and friends and then to shops and department stores. I finally opened the doors of my own little boutique on St Mary’s Street, Edinburgh in 2005 and my online shop in 2010.

Since it’s beginning Rene Walrus has been a labour of love, both for myself and now for my small team of outstanding staff. All our designs are hand made at our studio in Edinburgh and any of our pieces can be tailored to your colour themes or we can create a bespoke design especially for you.

I am a self-confessed wedding addict and I feel very privileged to have played a small part in the special days of so many brides over the years from chic New York City weddings to laid back Australian beach ceremonies.
